John’s 4m Enclosed Motorbike Trailer Build
John sent in these pictures of a fabulous trailer built from our 4m Enclosed Motorbike Trailer Plans.
This trailer largely follows our plans, but with a few additions to suit the owner’s needs. The large external awning has been added to give heaps of outdoor living space, which is much needed as the trailer acts as a base on weekend trips. There is plenty of storage up front with a drawbar mounted toolbox as well as an internal storage bin, accessible from outside through the front hatch door. The internals have been fitted out with a Dakar ready storage system, capable of securing all necessary items. Bikes are positioned in wheel wells and secured via in-floor anchor points. The floor and mudguards have been professionally constructed using aluminum checker plate.
Underneath, a sizable axle, 6-stud wheels/tyres and electric brakes provide robust running gear to get the trailer where it needs to go.
