Brenton’s Flat Top Wide Bed Trailer
Brenton built this compact tandem trailer using our Flat Top Wide Bed trailer plans and made a few minor modifications to suit his needs. He constructed the trailer entirely out of DuraGal sections, built a good size head board in front and reduced the size a little (and ATM). It was fitted with a tandem slipper spring suspension system and hydraulic over-run brakes.
He did a really nice job of the rear tail lights, flush-mounting them onto a chequer plate board. The mudguards are made from chequer plate, which helps to keep weight down and looks pretty good too. Tie-down rails run all the way around the trailer sides and front, which we’re sure is going to come in very handy. The spare wheel is mounted to the rear of the trailer under the chassis and the whole thing is finished off with a neat paint job.
Our favourite part though is the 3-piece timber deck which is flush mounted all round and really gives the trailer a unique look that we like, a lot.
