Weld Symbols Explained
The ability to apply a strong weld with good penetration is one of the key elements in trailer construction. We provide detailed plans that conform to regulations, but it’s up to you – the trailer builder – to ensure that the build quality is acceptable. To help with this we provide weld symbols that specify weld size, type, length, position and other features that describe the weld. We have recently updated our condensed WELD SYMBOL GUIDE in conformance with AS1101.3. The guide is included with each of our plans and interprets the use of AS weld symbols.
